There was a lighthouse on the shores of my birthplace. These drawings have been created as image fragments made visible by its sweeping light. Light coming and going continuously, like memories, become visible in the present day darkness; The longest and greatest dream seen by the human race. Marxism. These drawings are a solitary contemplation of this dream. Marxism was the greatest wave in the history of thought. The ship of human life traveled up and down this wave.
In 1991, with the fall of the Soviet Union, gigantic trees were uprooted. Many flags stopped flying. On the roadsides, enormous communist statues started falling. Marx, Lenin, Mao, Stalin ceased to be mere statues. From the nest of thought, metal birds started flying into disappearance. The backdrop of these drawings is the continuously shifting position of those bronze statues. These drawings also tell the history of those statues.
